I understand that Village ordinance limits garage sales to two per calendar year/per household. Each sale may not last more than three consecutive days and must be held between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. I also understand that items sold at a garage sale are limited to such items as found around the house, garage, etc. and do not include arts and crafts items.
It is unlawful to place garage sale advertisements on street light poles, stop or parking signs, traffic control signals or parkway trees. All advertisements must be removed from parkway within 24 hours after completion of the sale.
Please have this garage sale permit available for verification should a village representative request proof of application for permit.
